Volleyball Game Preview: Battle Mountain Huskies vs. Eagle Valley Devils + How To Watch

The Battle Mountain Huskies will face off against the Eagle Valley Devils at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Battle Mountain sitting on seven straight victories and Eagle Valley on four.

Battle Mountain barely beat Glenwood Springs the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Huskies put the hurt on the Demons with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday.

One reason for the win was Battle Mountain's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-20, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Eagle Valley made easy work of Steamboat Springs on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

While Eagle Valley won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-18, 25-21.

Battle Mountain better keep an eye on Reese Wright. She was instrumental in Eagle Valley's win, getting nine digs and two aces. Riley Weatherred also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Battle Mountain's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Eagle Valley, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Battle Mountain came out on top in a nail-biter against Eagle Valley when the teams last played back in September, sneaking past 3-2. Will the Huskies repeat their success, or do the Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
