After only two runs in their last contest, First Christian made sure to put some runs up on the board against Brunswick Christian Academy on Monday. The Lions' pitcher stepped up to hand the Eagles an 18-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won five matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Victoria Loehr made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Corie Wheeler, who scored three runs while going 2-for-2. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. Lilli Bernot was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

First Christian's win bumped their record up to 5-3.

First Christian wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 9-6 victory against Countryside Christian on the 8th. As for Brunswick Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 15-10 win against Corinth Christian Academy on the 10th.
