Softball Recap: Newfield Wolverines vs. Smithtown East Bulls
Newfield made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Smithtown East, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Wolverines fell just short of the Bulls by a score of 4-2 on Friday. The Wolverines have struggled against the Bulls recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.
Aubrey Firenze was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Julia Parisi also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
