Basketball Recap: Genesee Comes Up Short

Genesee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 57-46 to the Nezperce Nighthawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Nighthawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 62-43 back in January.

Despite the defeat, Genesee saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Noah Bollman posted 20 points and five rebounds. That was a full 43.5% of Genesee's points, marking the fourth time in a row Bollman has scored more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Kalitri Hubbard, who went 5-for-9 en route to 11 points and five boards.

Genesee's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Nezperce, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-5.

As of now, neither Genesee nor Nezperce have any future games scheduled.
