Baseball Recap: John Paul II Takes a Loss

After flying high against Patrick Henry Academy last Tuesday, John Paul II came back down to earth. The John Paul II Golden Warrriors fell just short of the First Baptist School Hurricanes by a score of 7-6 on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Golden Warrriors of the 4-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

John Paul II saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Cotter, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another was Stewart Misko, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

John Paul II's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for First Baptist School, their record now sits at 2-0.

Coming up, John Paul II is headed away from home for the first time to take on Patrick Henry Academy at 6:30 p.m. on March 6th. As for First Baptist School, they will host Clear Dot Charter at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
