Softball Recap: Rainier Beach Comes Up Short

Rainier Beach lost against Chief Sealth last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Vikings came up short against the Seahawks, falling 19-1. That's two games in a row now that the Vikings have lost by exactly 18 runs.

Rainier Beach saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grace Kabatxi, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Rainier Beach has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Chief Sealth, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-6.

Rainier Beach and Chief Sealth will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time the Vikings see the field they'll take on Ingraham at 4:00 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Chief Sealth, their break will end when they face Lindbergh at 3:30 p.m. on the 22nd.
