Oak Hill Academy's Cam Thomas captured 2019-20 Suddenlink Virginia Player of the Year honors after an incredible senior campaign that saw the 6-foot-4 senior guard average 31.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.3 steals per game.

In 40 games this season, Thomas scored 1,258 points to become Oak Hill Academy's all-time leading scorer. The prolific bucket-getter was also an efficient shooter from the guard position, connecting on 435 of 780 field goals (56 percent), 87 of 233 3-point attempts (37.3 percent) and 301 of 349 free throw attempts (86 percent).

He led the Warriors to a 37-3 record on the season, finishing No. 6 in the final Top 25 national rankings. The perennial powerhouse faced a tough national schedule, capturing titles at the 'Iolani Classic and Bass Pro Shops Tournament of Champions.



Thomas captured MVP honors at both the 'Iolani Classic and Bass Pro. He also produced a game-high 29 points and eight rebounds in a signature victory over Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas) at the Spalding Hoophall Classic.

Thomas is regarded as the No. 23 prospect in the Class of 2020, according to 247Sports. The future LSU Tiger is expected to make a significant impact next season as a potential one-and-done talent.
