Softball Recap: Academy at the Lakes Wildcats vs. Tampa Catholic Crusaders

The Academy at the Lakes Wildcats took an 11-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tampa Catholic Crusaders on Wednesday. Academy at the Lakes has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Shannon Kendall was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up five earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Kendall has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in three consecutive pitching appearances. Kendall was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBI.
