Volleyball Recap: Edison Comes Up Short at Home Against St. Clairsville + How To Watch

Edison unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 3-0 to the St. Clairsville Red Devils on Tuesday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it 13 in a row.

While Edison was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into St. Clairsville's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-9, 25-17.

Aliya Glover paced Edison's offense, picking up five kills. Glover got some help from Sophia Henderson and her 18 assists.

Ava Saunders was a one-woman wrecking crew For St. Clairsville. as she had ten digs and two aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Abigail McCulley, who had four digs and three aces.

St. Clairsville has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Edison has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Beaver Local on the 21st. As for St. Clairsville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Martins Ferry on the 21st.
