Lincoln Southwest's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They blew past the Bellevue East Chieftains 77-51. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Silver Hawks had established a 20 point advantage.

Lincoln Southwest's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaxyn Cruse led the charge by going 11 for 15 on his way to 24 points and seven rebounds. With that strong performance, Cruse is now averaging an impressive 15.6 points per game. Uzziah Sanders was another key player, going 8 of 13 on his way to 21 points and five steals.

When it comes to explaining why Bellevue East lost, don't look at Kris Brown. Despite the final result, he posted 18 points and five assists. The dominant performance gave Brown a new career-high in assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Gore, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 10 points.

Lincoln Southwest's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Bellevue East, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
