Bolivar Central had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 15-run drubbing they dealt Fayette Ware on Monday. The Tigers blew past the Wildcats 17-2. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won eight games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Haley Burns was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Marissa Overton, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Bolivar Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .806. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fayette Ware only posted an OBP of .308.

Bolivar Central pushed their record up to 9-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Fayette Ware, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 16 of their last 19 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-20 record this season.
