Football Game Preview: York/Pavilion vs. Barker/Royalton-Hartland Bulls

York/Pavilion are taking a road trip to square off against the Barker/Royalton-Hartland Bulls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Barker/Royalton-Hartland will take on a team with plenty of momentum: York/Pavilion extended their winning streak to four on Friday. York/Pavilion took down Notre Dame 35-20.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead York/Pavilion to victory, but perhaps none more so than Parker Bonefede, who rushed for 53 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 127 yards and a pair of TDs on only 11 passes. Johnny Ayers was in the mix too, providing York/Pavilion with two scores.

York/Pavilion didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Caleb Gavin, Bonefede, and Zach Bauer picked up one apiece. Gavin has been hot recently, having also posted eight or more total tackles the last three times he's played. Trent Englert was another major factor on D, making 12 total tackles.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Barker/Royalton-Hartland). Everything went their way against Eden/North Collins on Friday as they made off with a 50-24 win. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Barker/Royalton-Hartland's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for York/Pavilion, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.
