Basketball Recap: Southern Lab Takes a Loss

If Southern Lab was feeling good fresh off their 77-44 takedown of Mt. Carmel last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Southern Lab Kittens took a 58-43 bruising from the Destrehan Wildcats on Monday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Kittens came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked third, while the Wildcats are ranked 27th).

Southern Lab's loss dropped their record down to 22-5. As for Destrehan, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-9 record this season.

Southern Lab does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Destrehan, they have already played their next matchup, a 70-55 victory against De La Salle on the 12th.
