Baseball Recap: West Central Area Comes Up Short

West Central Area was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 8-1 to the Breckenridge Cowboys. If the Knights were looking for revenge after losing 12-0 to the Cowboys when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Tucker McGee was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases and one run.

West Central Area's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Breckenridge, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Central Area will head out to square off against Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight. As for Breckenridge, they are taking a road trip to face off against Staples-Motley at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cowboys' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cardinals have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
