Los Alamitos has gone a perfect 10-0 against Fountain Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Griffins will be playing in front of their home fans against the Barons at 3:15 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Los Alamitos was handed a seven-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They skirted past Marina 6-4.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fountain Valley). They blew past Corona del Mar 17-2 on Thursday. Considering the Barons have won eight games by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Courtney Kols looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Kileigh Villalobos was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Sam Sameshima was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one triple.

Fountain Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .676. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Los Alamitos' win was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-12. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Fountain Valley, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-11.

Los Alamitos took their victory against Fountain Valley when the teams last played back in April by a conclusive 6-0 score. Will the Griffins repeat their success, or do the Barons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
