Softball Recap: Alden Bulldogs vs. Griffith Institute Griffins
Alden is still undefeated this season after their game against Griffith Institute on Monday, but Griffith Institute came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Bulldogs came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 14-13 W against the Griffins. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.
Alden got a massive performance out of Sawyer Faso, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and one triple. That home run marked the first that Faso has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Ashley Eberth, who went 3-for-5 with five RBI, three runs, and two doubles.
Alden was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .463. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Griffith Institute only posted a batting average of .306.
