Volleyball Recap: Roosevelt Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Banneker + How To Watch

Roosevelt faced Banneker in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Roughriders took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. The Roughriders have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-14.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Banneker to victory, but perhaps none more so than Isabelle Pierre, who had eight kills, two aces, and one block. Pierre is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played. Aidyn Higgins was another key player, getting six aces.

Roosevelt now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Banneker, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
