Basketball Recap: Gridley Falls Despite Big Games from Aubree Weber and Andrea Guillen

Gridley's game on Tuesday was all tied up 17-17 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They received a blow as they fell 50-31 to the Oroville Tigers. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Gridley's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Andrea Guillen, who posted nine points, and Aubree Weber, who put up 14 points. The dominant performance gave Guillen a new career-high in points.

This is the second loss in a row for Gridley and nudges their season record down to 6-14. As for Oroville, their record now sits at 8-14.

Gridley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 53-33 defeat against Las Plumas on the 31st. Oroville has also already played their next game, a 24-16 loss against Corning on the 31st.
