Soccer Recap: Joplin Takes a Loss

Joplin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Carthage Tigers. While losing is never fun, Joplin can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri soccer rankings (they are ranked 107th, while Carthage are ranked 19th).

Joplin now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Carthage, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-1.

Coming up, Joplin will square off against McDonald County at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Carthage, they will challenge Republic at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
