Softball Recap: Elkmont Takes a Loss

Elkmont lost against West Limestone back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Red Devils lost 9-2 to the Wildcats.

Avery Harwell was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season.

Elkmont has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-12 record this season. As for West Limestone, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 32-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elkmont will face off against Whitesburg Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Limestone, they will challenge Florence at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
