Bowling Green is a perfect 3-0 against Russell County since January of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Bowling Green Purples will be taking part in a tournament against the Russell County Lakers at 8:00 p.m. Bowling Green knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Russell County likes a good challenge.

Bowling Green had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 27-point drubbing they dealt Glasgow on Tuesday. Bowling Green blew past Glasgow 80-53. The Purples have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Russell County had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Franklin-Simpson by a score of 57-46 on Tuesday.

Bowling Green pushed their record up to 25-6 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.1 points over those games. As for Russell County, their win bumped their record up to 17-11.

Bowling Green didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Russell County when the teams last played back in March of 2016, but they still walked away with a 61-55 victory.
