Softball Recap: Delta Bobcats vs. Puxico Indians

Delta extended their losing streak to five on Tuesday, dropping them down to 4-9. They took an 11-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Puxico Indians. The Bobcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Indians from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.

As for Puxico, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-7. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.2 runs over those games.

For Puxico's part, Lily Foster made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). Foster has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

In other batting news, Abigail Cookson was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. Miley Harmon was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
