AA Region 6 recap Oct. 9, 2012
Lovett led AA Region 6 in scoring this week after putting up 35 points on Lovett.
The longest pass in the league this week came courtesy of Wesleyan's Will Anderson. He connected with Jahmai Jones on a 60-yard pass as the Wolves lost to Webb.
Wesleyan's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Anderson threw for 326 and three touchdowns and Jones had 151 yards receiving. On the ground Anderson chipped in 37 yards. Sam Carver helped Wesleyan's passing attack out by catching seven balls for 98 yards.
Wesleyan's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Wolves feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Anderson has thrown for 1248 yards and 11 touchdowns this season, while Jones has 32 catches for 557 yards. Miles Smith leads the league in rushing with 400 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Greater Atlanta Christian takes on Westminster. The Spartans are in first place, while the Wildcats are in third place.
