Basketball Recap: Watertown-Mayer Takes a Loss

Watertown-Mayer was the 70-45 winner over Central when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Watertown-Mayer Royals fell just short of the Central Raiders by a score of 64-62 on Saturday. The Royals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Watertown-Mayer's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-8.

Coming up, Watertown-Mayer will face off against Annandale at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Annandale knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Watertown-Mayer likes a good challenge. As for Central, they will square off against Glencoe-Silver Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
