Basketball Recap: Vance County Find Success + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against South Granville, Vance County was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They strolled past the Henderson Collegiate Pride with points to spare, taking the game 49-31. The Vipers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Pride, too.

Vance County found their leader in freshman Ke'Andre Cooper, who made all 8 shots he took for 17 points along with five rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cooper has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Quiheem Glover, who posted seven points and seven boards.

Vance County's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Henderson Collegiate, they dropped their record down to 2-4 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Vance County will welcome South Granville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Henderson Collegiate, they will face off against River Mill at 6:00 p.m. on December 3.
