Basketball Game Preview: Crescent Loggers vs. Neah Bay Red Devils

Crescent hasn't had much luck against Neah Bay recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Crescent Loggers will head out on the road to face off against the Neah Bay Red Devils at 5:45 p.m. Both have allowed few points on average, (Crescent: 29.5, Neah Bay: 30) so any points scored will be well earned.

Crescent easily dispatched Clallam Bay on Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Crescent fell just short of Ocosta by a score of 31-29 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Loggers have suffered since February 5, 2024.

Despite the defeat, Crescent had strong showings from Naomii Sprague, who posted 12 points and eight steals, and Audrey Gales, who scored 11 points in addition to six boards and five blocks. Sprague is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 29 games she's played dating back to last season. Kali Hopper was another key player, putting up four points and nine rebounds.

Meanwhile, Neah Bay humbled Forks with a 63-24 victory. The Red Devils have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Neah Bay's win bumped their record up to 15-1. As for Crescent, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
