Asheboro is 9-1 against Eastern Randolph since December of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Asheboro Blue Comets will square off against the Eastern Randolph Wildcats at 7:30 p.m.

Asheboro is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Randleman just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 56-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers.

Meanwhile, couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2024 than the 69-30 stomp they got against Western Harnett.

Eastern Randolph's win came from a few key players Asheboro will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Tyler Gee, who went 7 of 10 on his way to 20 points and four steals. Those four steals gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Timothy Brower, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 14 points in addition to six assists and six boards.

Asheboro's defeat dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Eastern Randolph, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Asheboro didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Eastern Randolph when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with an 80-75 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Asheboro since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
