Volleyball Recap: Canutillo Eagles vs. Andress Eagles        
        
		
             Canutillo's game  two weeks ago was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Tuesday. They won by a  set and slipped past the Andress Eagles  3-2. The  victory was some much needed relief for Canutillo as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.
 Canutillo took Andress into a fifth set  where they got it done with a four-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-21, 16-25, 17-25,  15-11.
 Leading Canutillo to victory were  Andrea Guerrero and  Mikira Wilkes.  Guerrero  had 15  digs and two  aces, while  Wilkes  had nine  kills, three  digs, two  blocks,  and two  aces. That's the most  aces  Wilkes has posted since back in September.
 Canutillo  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 17  aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Andress only served 11.
 Despite the  defeat, Andress had strong showings from  Abigail Rosales, who  had 14  digs and two  aces, and  Aubrey Saavedra, who  had seven  digs and four  aces. Rosales is also on a roll when it comes to  assists, as she's  now  posted 12 or more in the last five games she's  played dating back to last season.
 Canutillo's record now sits at 14-22. As for Andress, they have  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost four of their last five matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 11-16 record  this season.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Canutillo will venture away from home to  square off against Burges  at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday. Canutillo is no doubt hoping to put an end to  an eight-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. As for Andress, they are taking a road trip to  take on El Paso  at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday. El Paso will roll in looking for their  ninth straight  win, something Andress surely won't give up without a fight.
