Baseball Recap: St. Mary's Makes It Five in a Row at Home

St. Mary took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Arcadia, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. St. Mary's narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Arcadia 6-5. For the Knights, this counts as revenge for the 10-0 win the Titans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

St. Mary's saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sean Berry, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Another was Mikey Nanez, who scored a run and stole a base.

St. Mary's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-5. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for Arcadia, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.

St. Mary's will have a chance to go back-to-back against Arcadia: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
