Leven Jenkins posted a new career-low in earned runs on Tuesday. He was dynamite, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

Even though Jenkins couldn't lead Jones over Pamlico County, he won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Trojans have some work to do to even out the 2-8 series between these two since May of 2021, but a win here would be a good start.
