Softball Recap: 11 Straight Road Wins for Kennard-Dale

Kennard-Dale waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Northern Lebanon Vikings by a score of 4-1.

Taryn Ashenfelter was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 15 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lilliana Fleming, who went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024. Taylor Rinaudo was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Kennard-Dale pushed their record up to 22-3 with the win, which was their 11th straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Northern Lebanon, their loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-5.

As of now, neither Kennard-Dale nor the Vikings have any future games scheduled.
