Baseball Recap: Fort Bend Kempner Comes Up Short

Fort Bend Kempner was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 10-2 to the Victoria West Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-2 last Tuesday.

Fort Bend Kempner saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nik Hellriegel, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Fort Bend Kempner's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11-1. As for Victoria West, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fort Bend Kempner will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Fort Bend Marshall at 6:30 p.m. on March 25th. As for Victoria West, they will square off against Randle at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Victoria West is facing Randle at the right time seeing as Randle is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
