Volleyball Recap: Fannin County Continues Road Dominance on Tuesday + How To Watch

The Fannin County Rebels narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Prince Avenue Christian Wolverines 2-1.

Fannin County had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-16, 15-10.

Fannin County found their leader in sophomore Amberly Patterson, who had five digs and two aces.

Fannin County was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Prince Avenue Christian only served nine aces.

Despite the defeat, Prince Avenue Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Brenna Smith had nine digs and one assist.

Fannin County pushed their record up to 8-9 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Prince Avenue Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

Coincidentally, Fannin County and Prince Avenue Christian will both be playing Eastside the next time they take the court. The Rebels will head out to face the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Wolverines will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
