Basketball Game Preview: Brewbaker Tech Rams vs. Wetumpka Indians + How To Watch

The Brewbaker Tech Rams will challenge the Wetumpka Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Brewbaker Tech knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Wetumpka likes a good challenge.

While Brewbaker Tech didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against Stanhope Elmore by a score of 67-57 on Tuesday. The Rams pushed the score to 52-32 by the end of the third, a deficit the Mustangs cut but never quite recovered from.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wetumpka). They put the hurt on Elmore County with a sharp 73-50 win on Thursday. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Wetumpka found their leader in sophomore Kaleb Ballard, who dropped a double-double with 29 points and 17 boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ballard has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Robinson, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 11 assists.

Wetumpka was working as a unit and finished the game with 28 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Brewbaker Tech's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Wetumpka, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Everything came up roses for Brewbaker Tech against Wetumpka in their previous matchup back in November of 2017, as the squad secured a 69-34 win. Do the Rams have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Indians turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
