IMG Academy, St. Thomas Aquinas each have 13 signees on 2016 National Signing Day

Bradenton (Fla.) school had 13 players sign on National Signing Day.

IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) and St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) both finished National Signing Day with the highest number of signed recruits in the country at 13.

LSU, Florida State and Ohio State each grabbed two Ascenders apiece: Saivion Smith, a 5-star cornerback, and Drake Davis, a 4-star receiver, signed with the Tigers; Shavar Manuel, a 4-star defensive lineman, and Ricky Aguayo, a 3-star kicker, signed with the Seminoles. And Malik Barrow, a 4-star defensive end, joined Tyler Gerald, a 4-star defensive tackle, with the Buckeyes.

IMG Academy's two other 5-star players included quarterback Shea Patterson, who signed with Ole Miss, and tight end Isaac Nauta, who signed with Georgia.

The Raiders also finished with 13 signed recruits, led by Ohio State signee Nick Bosa, a 5-star defensive end. The Raiders also had a 4-star recruit in Sam Bruce, a wide receiver who signed with Miami.



Manvel (Texas) was the only other school in the nation to have double-digit signees with 11. Among the Mavericks to sign were 4-star defensive back Deontay Anderson and 4-star running back D'Vaughn Pennamon, both of whom signed with Ole Miss, and 4-star offensive lineman Austin Myers, who signed with TCU.

Skyline (Dallas) had eight signees. The Raiders are sending four players to Texas Tech, including tackle Clarence Henderson, defensive tackles Mychealon Thomas and Joseph Wallace and running back Da'leon Ward. Thomas was actually a junior college transfer.
