Soccer Game Preview: Taft vs. Wasco

Taft hasn't had much luck against Wasco recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Taft take on the Wasco at 6:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Taft's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 4-0 margin over Chavez. Four seems to be a good number for the Wildcats as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of goals in their previous game.

Meanwhile, Wasco made easy work of Delano on Tuesday and carried off a 6-1 win. Arianna Bernal had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Wasco.

Wasco is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 37 goals over those nine contests. As for Taft, they now have a winning record of 10-9-3.

Taft came up short against Wasco when the teams last played back in January, falling 4-2. Can Taft avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
