Softball Recap: Jack Britt Falls to Hoke County in First Game of Season

Jack Britt unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 10-6 to the Hoke County Bucks on Tuesday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Ashanthy Marcano made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Brown, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Jack Britt didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-7 win against Fairmont on the 26th. As for Hoke County, they have also already played their next matchup, an 11-10 victory against St. Pauls on the 26th.
