Volleyball Game Preview: Dayton Dust Devils vs. Churchill County Greenwave

Dayton hasn't had much luck against Churchill County recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Dust Devils will take on the Greenwave at 5:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Dayton comes in on four and Churchill County on seven.

Dayton is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past South Tahoe 3-2. The game was the first time the Dust Devils have beaten the Vikings on their court since August 29, 2022.

Dayton took South Tahoe into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 14-25, 23-25, 25-22, 15-9.

Meanwhile, Churchill County got the win against Wooster on Monday by a conclusive 3-0.

Churchill County never let Wooster on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-15, 25-16.

Dayton's record now sits at 20-8. As for Churchill County, their record is now 22-9.
