Basketball Game Preview: Salem Rocks vs. Dexter Dreadnaughts

The Salem Rocks will wrap up 2025 with a road trip to face off against the Dexter Dreadnaughts at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Salem will be strutting in after a win while Dexter will be coming in after a loss.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Salem and Canton meet (six straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Rocks came out on top against the Cobras by a score of 33-26. Those 33 points were actually the fewest the Rocks have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Meanwhile, Dexter lost to Western on the road by a 72-54 margin on Monday.

Salem's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Dexter, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Salem strolled past Dexter in their previous meeting back in March of 2023 by a score of 40-23. Will the Rocks repeat their success, or do the Dreadnaughts have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
