Basketball Game Preview: Karnes City Badgers vs. Goliad Tigers

Karnes City is 1-9 against Goliad since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Karnes City Badgers will venture away from home to take on the Goliad Tigers at 6:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Karnes City fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Luling on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Eagles 55-50.

Meanwhile, Goliad suffered their biggest loss since December 13, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against Poth, falling 49-23. The game marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Karnes City's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Goliad, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.

Karnes City took a serious blow against Goliad when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 54-27. Can Karnes City avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
