Basketball Recap: Westfair Christian Takes a Loss

Westfair Christian played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 75-44 loss at the hands of Varsity Opponent. Westfair Christian was not able to make up for their defeat to Varsity Opponent from their previous meeting back in February.

Despite the loss, Westfair Christian still got an impressive performance from Breckon Sloter, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds. Sloter is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 56% in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.

Westfair Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Westfair Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Illinois School for the Deaf at 6:00 p.m. on December 2. As for Varsity Opponent, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 54-36 win against Galesburg Christian on the 21st.
