Basketball Game Preview: East Beauregard Trojans vs. Gueydan Bears

East Beauregard is on a three-game streak of home losses, Gueydan a 12-game streak of away losses dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Monday. The East Beauregard Trojans will welcome the Gueydan Bears at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, East Beauregard beat Vinton 30-20. The win continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won six in a row.

Meanwhile, Gueydan posted their closest victory since November 29, 2023 on Friday. They had just enough and edged Ascension Episcopal out 24-22.

East Beauregard's win bumped their record up to 11-13. As for Gueydan, their victory ended a 19-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-23.

Everything came up roses for East Beauregard against Gueydan in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 56-3 win. Will East Beauregard repeat their success, or does Gueydan have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
