Basketball Recap: Alak Takes a Loss

After flying high against Houston last Thursday, Alak came back down to earth. The Alak Huskies were beaten by the Kodiak Bears 53-19 on Friday. The Huskies were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-8.

Jesse Bodfish-Panik was Alak's leading scorer, having posted seven points.

Alak has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season. As for Kodiak, their win bumped their record up to 3-9.

Alak wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 74-50 loss against Redington on the 8th. As for Kodiak, they have also already played their next game, a 67-43 defeat against Juneau-Douglas on the 7th.
