Football Game Preview: Susquehannock Warriors vs. West York Area Bulldogs

The Susquehannock Warriors will challenge the West York Area Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Susquehannock is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.

Susquehannock is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They fell 28-23 to Eastern York on Friday.

Susquehannock might have lost, but man, Trevor Odegaard was a machine: he rushed for 161 yards and two scores. Nikolai Graham got in on the action too, returning a kick for a touchdown.

Even if they lost, Susquehannock's defense still kept up the pressure with seven sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Dylan Lagore and Donavin Jordan-Brown, who racked up five sacks between them. Susquehannock got some further help from Ryan Simons: he picked up a sack and made ten total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Special teams also played a big role in the game for Susquehannock, adding 11 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Graham, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 37 points the game before, West York Area was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They took a 14-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of New Oxford. The game marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Susquehannock's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for West York Area, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 7-1.

Things could have been worse for Susquehannock, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 28-14 loss to West York Area when the teams last played back in October of 2024.
