Soccer Recap: Omaha South Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Omaha South walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Lincoln Southwest Silver Hawks on Tuesday as they made off with a 5-2 victory. Omaha South might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by three goals or more this season.

They hit Lincoln Southwest with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Dylan Holden (2), Julian Rodriguez (2), and Jolvin Albueno.

The win (which was Omaha South's eighth in a row) raised their record to 14-2. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 40 goals over those eight games. As for Lincoln Southwest, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6.

Looking ahead, Omaha South will challenge South Sioux City at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. South Sioux City will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Omaha South surely won't give up without a fight. Lincoln Southwest does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
