Softball Recap: Wesson Comes Up Short

After soaring to 16 runs the game before, Wesson was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They lost 11-1 to the Loyd Star Hornets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-1 two weeks ago.

Wesson's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Loyd Star, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-2.

Looking ahead, Wesson will head out on the road to take on West Marion at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Loyd Star, they have already played their next game, an 11-0 victory against Yazoo County on the 11th.
