Volleyball Recap: Silver Lake Takes a Loss

Silver Lake was the 2-0 winner over Dundy County-Stratton when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Mustangs took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers on Saturday. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their offense was headlined by Brooklyn Himmelberg and Makenna M Karr, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Libby Soucek and her eight assists. She also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kerra Hofstetter, racking up two apiece.

Silver Lake now has a losing record of 1-2.

Silver Lake has already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Ainsworth on the 30th. As for Dundy County-Stratton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Ansley/Litchfield on the 30th.
