Basketball Recap: Longview Comes Up Short

Longview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 60-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rockwall-Heath Hawks. While losing is never fun, the Lobos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 420th, while the Hawks are ranked 84th).

Rockwall-Heath's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Hadrian Reitsma, who went 5 for 11 on his way to 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Cranford, who posted 11 points and five assists.

Longview's defeat dropped their record down to 14-12. As for Rockwall-Heath, they pushed their record up to 22-7 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Longview will take on North Forney at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Longview is facing North Forney at the right time seeing as North Forney is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. Rockwall-Heath has already played their next contest (against Rockwall), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
