Basketball Game Preview: Christian Fellowship Eagles vs. St. Mary Vikings

The Christian Fellowship Eagles just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the St. Mary Vikings at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Christian Fellowship knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully St. Mary likes a good challenge.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Christian Fellowship turned things around against Fulton City on Monday. They walked away with a 71-64 win over the Bulldogs.

St. Mary played in conference for the first time on Thursday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Community Christian 67-32. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 60th, while the Warriors are ranked 210th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

St. Mary's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.2 points per game. As for Christian Fellowship, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-9.

Christian Fellowship suffered a grim 89-65 defeat to St. Mary in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Christian Fellowship avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
