Basketball Game Preview: King's Knights vs. Eastside Prep

The King's Knights will venture away from home to take on Eastside Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

King's is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Lynden just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 51-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while the Lions are ranked ninth).

Meanwhile, Eastside Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 43-28 to Northwest. That's two games in a row now that Eastside Prep has lost by exactly 15 points.

Eastside Prep's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for King's, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-4.

Everything came up roses for King's against Eastside Prep in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 57-21 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for King's since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
